Thoughts on birding, data, and Palestine.
There's more to say about the data that's (not) coming out of Palestine and how the state of the internet is making that worse but, for now: The Palestine Sunbird is the National bird of Palestine. The Glossy Ibis is a bird native and with breeding grounds in Palestine and on the east coast of the United States, making it a bird that peronally makes me feel a connection with Palestine. I want to tell you all about the birds of Palestine, but moreso, I wish Palestinians could be telling you about the birds of Palestine. I pray that there is a future where they will. I am motivated to fight for human freedom and the natural world - together are they liberated and together they are destroyed.
